Graffi Heritage is not one kingdom but a confederation of Grassfields fondoms — sister thrones that share the same reverence for palm oil, colanut, and ancestral rite. The Nso Kingdom stands as the paramount kingdom within this Graffi world, the seat from which the oil rites are watched over and the covenant of the palm is renewed. Five founding fondoms stand at the centre of this bottle, and many more carry the tradition alongside them.
Nso Kingdom
The paramount kingdom of the Graffi. From the Nso palace at Kimbo, the Fon and the Nkwifon council have kept the order of the palm: oil for the ancestors, oil for the colanut, oil for the naming of children and the renewal of the land. Every Grassfields fondom recognizes the Nso throne as a senior custodian of this heritage.
